The Owens Brothers
Born to a music-teaching mother, the Owens Brothers could be a classical ensemble, since they each play stringed instruments ... but they like to rock.
Chris Owens , the eldest, has been performing solo and with groups as well as writing songs since the 1980s. Raised on the piano and cello, Chris plays keyboards and uses recorders for instrumental solos. Chris has performed solo, with his own bands, and with singer-songwriters Judy Gorman, Jon Pinamonti, and Bev Grant as well as the Brooklyn Women’s Chorus, amongst others. Despite being best known as “Elvin” from The Cosby Show, younger brother Geoffrey Owens is also an accomplished guitarist and singer. He was raised on piano and viola – even serving as principal violist in the All-City High School orchestra.
Chris Owens resides with his family in Brooklyn, New York. Geoffrey Owens and his family live in Montclair, New Jersey.
